Civil Engineering covers many specialisms including highways, infrastructure, airports, bridges, costal, energy, utilities, environmental, geotechnical, rail, tunnelling, water and offshore works.

​£500 billion of investment in the UK construction industry, and several major projects underway, there has never been a better time to build a career in infrastructure.  

Around 20 per cent of civil engineers are set to retire in the next 15 years, and the amount of fresh blood entering the industry is not enough to meet the increasing levels of demand reported The Engineer.
